This past spring was one of the best seasons I have ever witnessed turkey on ELHC. There is more and more birds each year. Our philosophy is hunt them early........shoot one.....if you don't shoot one get out. They will be there the next day. Don't pressure the birds and make them smarter. They will not come to your call or they may even leave the property. We got on birds everyday this year except one. We started our first annual turkey camp this year and Congrats to Shannon and Jack(his young son) on harvesting a nice long beard on opening morning. Nothing like having 6 long beards fly in your lap is it??? Make sure Jack knows it isn't that easy. Well maybe it is. I have been seeing alot of poults this year which is great. Should be another fire upcoming season!! I love THUNDER THROATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man I can still picture that bird on its roost early that morning. My son jack was so exited when he heard that turky gobble. I know we will never forget it.
